An RCMP forensics officer testified again today on day three of the first-degree murder and arson trial for 18-year-old Devin Morningstar.
Corporal Patrick Gould described photos seized from the crime scene at 96 Sumac Street in Moncton.
Photo exhibits were also introduced to the jury including pictures of a knife, a box cutter, and curtain rod.
Gould showed the court a rifle which was seized during the investigation of 18-year-old Baylee Wylie’s death.
The court earlier heard that the rifle was not found at the crime scene.
Gould told defence lawyer Robert Rideout that Morningstar’s prints were not on the rifle or on any other sharp objects seized.
He added no prints were found on the rifle.
Morningstar is one of three people facing murder and arson charges in Wylie’s death.
Testimony continues this afternoon.
