Violence directed against nurses in the workplace is getting worse according to the new President of the New Brunswick Nurses Union, Paula Doucet. She says nurses are saying enough is enough and they’re looking for protections while on the job.
A poll done in 2014 found 65 per cent of nurses in nursing homes experienced some form of physical abuse and 78 per cent had witnessed or been part of verbal abuse.
