The Moncton Wildcats won’t be there, but it’s going to be a busy evening on the ice at the Moncton Coliseum on November 12th, as a Moncton area couple say their “I Do’s” at centre ice.
The idea of a wedding at the Moncton Coliseum started as a joke, before the engagement.
Janna McCullly and Ryan Ogilivie were talking to Matt Pennell, who is the Executive Chef at Legends Restaurant, about the idea of getting married at the Moncton Coliseum.
About a week after Ryan popped the question, Janna messaged Matt, and he said he was expecting to hear from her.
Janna says there will be no ticket sales for this event, just a small crowd, “153 people, sitting in one section. Immediate family will be in the players bench area.”
Janna and Ryan won’t be wearing skates or anything, there will be carpet on the ice while they say their vows. It was necessary for liability purposes, and Janna told us through laughter, “I am not wearing a helmet on my wedding day.”
