RCMP say two Parkindale men have been charged after an attempted robbery at a convenience store in Long Creek near Coles Island.
According to police, a man wearing a mask entered Connell’s Grocery armed with a weapon on Friday afternoon.
The man fled before taking anything after being confronted by the store owner.
The suspect got away in a vehicle driven by a second individual but they were both arrested over the weekend.
Thirty-three-year old Laurie Randall Delong and 25-year-old Bradley Dennis McCully are each facing charges of attempted robbery and concealing their faces while committing an offence.
Both are being held in custody until a bail hearing on Thursday in Saint John court.
