The pollsters and pundits alike got it wrong as Republican Donald Trump will become the 45th President of the United States in what will likely be considered one of the major political upsets in American political history.
Trump had praise for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton who called him to concede. He also is calling for unity in the aftermath of a bitter and divisive campaign.
Trump vows to embark on a project of national growth and renewal to rebuild America’s crumbling infrastructure and put millions of people to work while doubling national growth.
Trump also promises the people who have been forgotten by economic dislocation will be forgotten no longer.
You might call it a red wave as it turned out to be a big night for the Republicans who kept control of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. The GOP also holds the most governorships since 1922.
