The jury at the second degree murder trial of Matthew Tucker hearing that his mother’s blood was found in her SUV, her bedroom and on jeans seized from him.
Dorothy Tucker was killed two years ago by a gunshot wound. Her body was found in the woods by hunters on November 20th the same day her son was charged in her murder.
Bloodstain pattern analyst Sgt. Trevor Penney telling the jury Dorothy Tucker’s bedroom had more than 100 spatter stains where liquid blood was moved by force.
Blood and biological material belonging to her were found on the headboard, wall and the ceiling.
Sgt. Penney says the spatter stains are consistent with a single shotgun blast.
The crown has finished its case and the defence may call witnesses when the trial resumes on Monday.
Fragments of biological material and lead shot are found. The blood is matched to Dorothy Tucker.
