The provincial government has announced the names of the five members of the commission on electoral reform.
They’ll have to come up with submitting recommendations for improving the electoral system in New Brunswick.
They are Carolyn MacKay, Bev Harrison, Gaétane Johnson, Jason Alcorn and Constantine Passaris.
Some of the things they’re being asked to consider include finding ways to improve participation, such as preferential ballots and online voting, and they’ll also look at other possible rule changes including voting age, political contribution rules and political spending rules.
The public is also invited to offer their input and it will also be considered by the commission.
