Mayor Don Darling says if Common Council agrees, the city will not spend $3.2 million on improvements in the Cedar Point neighbourhood in Millidgeville which is supposed to be semi rural according to its zoning designation.
Darling says city staff will come back with options in a scaled back plan that`s more affordable.
According to the mayor, there will be enhancements to improve safety and walkability but the work will not be donebefore 2019.
One problem with drainage and water runoff in Cedar Point is that the open ditches have been filled in and the work will include opening them up.
