Prosecutor Jill Knee delivered the prosecution’s closing arguments at the second degree murder trial of Matthew Tucker.
He’s charged in the shooting death of his mother, 53 year old Dorothy Tucker two years ago in Oak Haven near St. Stephen.
The jury has been told Tucker told a psychiatrist his mother was a “f***ing retard” but calmed down and was able to answer some questions.
Matthew told his ex Tamara Dunphy that his mother was gone and he was worried she was bleeding in a ditch somewhere.
On November 11th of 2014, Tucker didn’t mention that his mother is missing when speaking to the RCMP.
Later two officers came to the Tucker home and found blood in her room and also in the back of a white Ford Escape on the property.
Knee suggests blood stains and pellets were found in Dorothy Tucker’s bedroom because Matthew Tucker shot her there.
Her DNA was also found on his jeans and Tucker’s own blood was found there as well. Knee told the jury Tucker threw away the bloody jeans, a bloody shell box and wrapped her body in plastic.
She adds loading and firing a shotgun at his mother shows the intent to kill.
Defence lawyer Brian Ferguson has told the jury no one in his right mind would have done this and Tucker’s mother, who was shot and killed, said he didn’t get the help he needed.
Tucker spoke in statements about seeing white head flat-nose creature, not sleeping for days and having terrible dreams.
Dorothy Tucker tells someone “it’s the same as always. No one will help him”.
