37 year old Matthew Tucker of Oak Haven, NB has been found guilty of second degree murder in the 2014 shooting death of his mother Dorothy Tucker.
She died from a gunshot wound to the head.
The jury deliberated for less than four hours.
Mr. Justice Grant sent them back to the jury room to consider a sentencing recommendation.
They did so but declined to offer a recommendation.
Matthew Tucker had little reaction to the verdict but later had a pained look on his face.

The family of Dorothy Tucker declined to speak with the media. Both Crown and Defence lawyers declined as well.
Matthew Tucker is due back in court for sentencing on December 13th.
