A serious accident around suppertime last night is still under investigation.
St. Stephen RCMP say the report came in of a two- vehicle crash on Main Street, just before 6pm Thursday.
Sgt. Peter Stubbs confirms when they arrived on the scene, an SUV was on its side, and a van was on fire.
He says there were minor injuries, and at least one person was treated at hospital, but the injuries were not related to the fire.
He says the cause of the crash is still being investigated, and currently they still need to do an inspection on one of the vehicles.
Teachers were seen rounding up students away from the scene as a dance was happening at St. Stephen Middle School.
