The M-L-A for Sussex-Fundy-St. Martins, Bruce Northrup says its time for the provincial government to fish or cut bait when it comes to shale gas.
Northrup fears nothing is going to happen before at least September of 2018 when the next provincial election is held but the province should tell the industry that.
He says it’s like dangling a carrot in front of them so quit dangling the carrot and just come out in say the moratorium will be in place until September 2018 and you have no interest in a shale gas industry here in the province of New Brunswick.
Northrup claims the provincial energy minister led businesspeople to believe the moratorium on shale gas exploration might be lifted just in the Sussex area.
