Zig the cat has been reunited with his owner after going missing for 13 months.
John McIntyre moved to Vancouver and left his cat with his son until he found a place that allowed pets.
McIntyre says his cat went missing shortly after and it wasn’t for a couple of weeks until his son mustered up the courage to tell him that Zig had escaped from the home.
He says the community of Saint John stepped up and are the main reason he has his cat again.
McIntyre admits he never thought he’d see Zig again and says this Christmas will be even better with his fury friend back at home with him.
Zig was flown out to Vancouver by Air Canada over the weekend at a discounted rate.
McIntyre says Zig settled in right away during his first night at home.
Zig cuddled and slept on his bed like he always did in the past.
