A number of suspicious fires at Shamrock Park are being investigated.
Several callers alerted 9-1-1 shortly after 8:30 about a shed being on fire at the park in the community gardens. The fire was put out quickly before it spread to a nearby shed. Fire crews also discovered several garbage cans had been set on fire in the park area at the same time.
A few hours later, fire crews responded to a call from a home at 2 Skyline Drive on the east side. When they arrived, smoke could be seen on the main floor. The fire began in the kitchen and caused moderate damage.
