The federal Conservatives are trying to put pressure on the Trudeau Government to approve what they’re calling job creating pipeline projects. The party’s natural resources critic, M-P Mark Strahl says the Prime Minister has a clear choice to demonstrate or not whether he supports out of work energy workers.
The party’s finance critic, Gerard Deltell who represents a riding in Quebec City was asked whether that includes Energy East which has run into vocal opposition in Quebec. Deltell replied by saying yes he does in principle, adding the National Energy Board must be allowed to do its job.
E#nergy East has run into opposition in AQuebec and one of the most vocal opponents is Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre who has called the proposed pipeline too risky.
