Officers with the Saint John police department really took a recent situation by the horns.
On Wednesday afternoon, police received a call about three goats who had been abandoned and were wandering on the Acamac Backland Road around Crane Mountain and went out there to check things out.
Sergeant Chuck Breen says it appeared that the goats had been dumped off and quipped that officers “used their vast police training” to track down the goats and corral them.
The trio of goats now have a new home at a farm outside the city thanks to the Saint John police and are safe and sound.
“Resting comfortably,” Sgt. Breen tells us.
