The provincial government has announced how much funding will be forthcoming next year in unconditional grants to muncipalities, rural communities and local service districts.
Saint John is getting an increase of $300 thousand in its unconditional grant from the province next year up to $20.2 million.
Quispamsis will receive $50 thousand less.
Rothesay will be about the same as this year while Grand Bay-Westfield is receiving 84 thousand dollars more and a $33 thousand increase in provincial funding for Hampton.
St. Stephen will get more than $1.6 million from the province in 2017, an increase of almost $24 hundred.
The equalisation funding will amount to $74.7 million, a $285,000 increase from last year.
