A car prowler was caught over the weekend on Charlotte Street.
A 37 year old man with a flash light and wearing dark clothing was discovered by police still inside a mini van he had broken into.
Police, who have warned about the prevalence of car prowling, say four other vehicles nearby were forcibly entered and damaged.
Police say they recovered stolen goods and the accused is facing 4 charges of theft and one of attempted theft.
