One person got out safely early this morning because a smoke alarm went off after a fire broke out in a home on Riverview Avenue off the Fox Farm Road in Rothesay.
Platoon Chief Mike Boyle says there was heavy smoke and fire blazing away when fire crews arrived and the house sustained extensive damage.
In the meantime, City Police are investigating the theft of lumber from Kents on Fairville Boulevard. A hole was cut in a fence leading to a storage area where the lumber was.
