Snow has fallen and temperatures have taken a plunge recently in Southern New Brunswick which is great news for Poley Mountain near Sussex.
The ski resort is planning to open for the season this Saturday, December 10.
General Manager Bill Anderson says last week’s heavy, wet snow helped them a lot.
“This was perfect snow, it was really packy so it gave us a good base. We started up our major snowmaking system and we’re blowing tremendous snow,” he says.
Anderson says the long range forecast is looking good for skiers and snowboarders with temperatures staying below freezing.
