Provincial Green Party leader David Coon says there is growing concern over the spraying of glyphosate on Crown lands and NB Power right of ways.
Coon says glyphosate is being used to kill the hardwoods but it’s the hardwoods that will thrive in a changing climate. He also says glyphosate is having a devastating effect on wildlife with the deer population one-quarter what it was thirty years ago.
A petition against the spraying of glyphosate in the province was presented in the Legislature with 30 thousand names on it.
