Any donation you make to the Cherry Brook Zoo will not go towards their legal costs.
The Zoo’s Executive Director Martha McDevitt is addressing concerns from Deputy Mayor Shirley MacAlary about whether or not the City should give the zoo the $50,000 dollars it requested in next year’s budget.
McDevitt says the zoo’s liability insurance is covering all of the legal fees.
McDevitt says every donation that comes in goes towards the care of the animals.
While she can’t speak specifically about the legal matters including the police investigation, she does tell us the questions will be answered sooner rather than later.
The legal action involves Len and Lynda Collrin who were dismissed in July.
