It’s not really robust growth but the Conference Board is predicting economic growth nonetheless over the next two years in New Brunswick, averaging 1.4 per cent.
According to its provincial outlook, there will be 46 hundred new jobs by the end of 2018 compared to the loss of a thousand this year.
The Conference Board is also forecasting 8.2 per cent growth in forestry next year and a gain of 6.2 per cent in construction.
There’s also a warning in the report that the HST increase is expected to cause a 1 per cent decline in household expenditures and small contraction in retail sales next year.
