Rothesay town council has voted in favour of holding a third public hearing regarding the proposed housing development with condos and garden homes on Hillcrest Drive.
Mayor Nancy Grant says the public hearing will be held at the next town council meeting on January 11th.
Grant says council felt the latest proposal was different enough to warrant another public hearing.
She says the Planning Advisory Committee will also look at the proposal again.
Last month, town council requested McKay Builders scale back their proposal to provide a “thoughtful and gradual transition from the surrounding single family homes”.
The developer revised its latest proposal by removing two town homes bringing the total number of residential homes to 58, which would include two 24-unit apartment style condo buildings and 5 two-unit duplex garden homes.
