If you live in east Saint John and have low water pressure or no water, the city says that’s because of a transmission main break that happened in the Champlain Heights area this morning.
We’ve also received a call to our newsroom from someone who had brown water. There’s no water pressure at Princess Elizabeth School which has forced it to close for the day.
Our office in #SaintJohn #NewBrunswick is closed due to a nearby water main break. More details at noon.

The city expects it’s going to take up to 36 hours to fix the problem, which happened on one of the cast iron water mains from the 1800s and will be upgraded as part of the city’s major water project.
