A Toronto businessman says the city has revoked a letter needed to obtain an exotic dancing license for his gay club.
Joshua Ernst tells CHSJ News he renovated the space at 208 Union Street with the idea of having male exotic dancers perform there.
He says the City initially gave him the thumbs up adding the club had to have a separate changing room and a stage which he tells us he built.
He says a month later the City is trying to take the letter back adding he needs the letter in order to get a provincial license to operate.
We asked Ernst if he can operate his business without the exotic dancing component and he tells us if he doesn’t get permission for all of it, he will likely shut the whole business down.
We have reached out to the Mayor’s office on this and have yet to hear back.
