A New Brunswick member of the outlaw motorcycle group the Hells Angels is facing drug and weapon charges after being arrested.
RCMP say that 48-year-old Robin Moulton from Fredericton is a full-patch member of the Hells Angels MC Nomads N.B. chapter. He was arrested on Tuesday around 7:20am whie driving on Highway 2 near Woodstock.
Moulton’s car was searched and police found what’s believed to be cocaine. The Mounties said they are searching his home in Fredericton and several other unnamed locations in the province. Police have seized:
- a high power rifle with a silencer
- a loaded handgun
- full-patch Hells Angels jacket
- Hells Angels “support club” patches
- A quantity of drugs
- drug paraphernalia
- “Support 81 Maritimes” clothing
Moulton has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a restricted firearm.
“The results of this investigation are an example of our ongoing efforts regarding the Hells Angels Nomads N.B. and other outlaw motorcycle gangs, and why it is so important to deter these crime groups,” Constable Jullie Rogers-Marsh of the New Brunswick RCMP said in a release.
The RCMP-led investigation was a joint effort with the Canadian Border Services Agency, Saint John police, Fredericton police, Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, and the Edmundston police.
