Proposed tax changes by the Trudeau Government have proven to be controversial and with Parliament resuming this week, the debate could get even more heated.
Dr. Patti Forgeron of Rothesay says the morale of doctors is so low because they’re unhappy at being characterised as being tax cheats according to the government’s spin.
Dr. Forgeron knows of a female family doctor who completely drained her corporation of money so she could take maternity leave and keep her office running and points out 51 per cent of family doctors in New Brunswick are women.
She adds it was the government that encouraged doctors to incorporate in order for them to pick up the expense of setting up their practices and not the government.
