Marshalls is moving into McAllister Place.
General Manager of the east side mall David Greene has confirmed to CHSJ News that the store will tentatively open in the fall of 2018 and it will occupy the space that was formerly the Sobeys.
That store was closed to make way for the new Sobeys Extra at East Point, which opened in the summer of last year.
Erin O’Brien of TJX, which owns Marshalls, HomeSense and Winners tells CHSJ News the HomeSense in Saint John — which is attached to the Winners on Consumers Drive in east Saint John — will be relocating to join the Marshalls to create a superstore.
