Picaroons in uptown Saint John is getting a new neighbour.
Rothesay’s Pomodori Pizzeria, which features wood-fired pies, is expanding into a second location at 34 Canterbury Street.
Janice MacPherson is the co-founder of Pomodori and tells our newsroom they really liked the vibe of the neighbourhood.
“We’re fans of a lot of the restaurants and pubs and the new cafe in that same block so we just thought Pomodori was a really good fit for that same space,” says MacPherson.
“I think that we could have a really good partnership next door to Picaroons.”
Pomodori plans to open the new location early in the spring.
“We have a really good customer base that comes out to Rothesay from Saint John regularly this just now gives them the opportunity to be more regular customers,” says MacPherson.
Currently they have one restaurant that is located on the Hampton Road in Rothesay.
