Contributions from the province, the federal government, the City and the Port will see historic Fort La Tour rebuilt along the uptown Saint John waterfront.
Fort La Tour dates back to the 1600s and the archeological site was designated a national historic site in 1923.

The federal government is providing $475,000 as and the province is providing $400,000.

More fundraising will be needed to create panels depicting the history of the site. It’s expected to open next summer.
