A trucking subsidiary of Cooke Aquaculture is speaking out after a transport truck went off the road in Blacks Harbour.
Cooke Aquaculture Vice President of Public Relations, Joel Richardson says the Shoreland Transport truck was carrying a full load of fresh salmon and was on its way to a processing facility in St. George. The accident happened shortly after 1am on Thursday, September 20th, 2018.

Richardson says the accident caused damage to a power pole and the electrical entrance to a nearby home, both of which have now been fixed by NB Power.
He tells us the road was closed once RCMP and the Eastern Charlotte Regional Fire Department arrived. It was re-opened by 4am.
Cooke employees were on site offloading the trailer at 7:30am and finishing around noontime.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Work on landscaping at the scene is underway.
Richardson says the cause of the accident is currently being investigated.
