The overnight rain has loosened that ice on a lot of roads in the Saint John area and crews have been scrapping it away all night.
Side streets and sidewalks, however, are still expected to be icy as are parking lots so give yourself plenty of time at intersections.
On the Highways, the province is reporting Highway one in Saint John and KV area is bare pavement, however between St. Stephen and Lepreau and KV to Moncton there is still a lot of snow covered sections to watch out for.
Highway 7 is partly covered as far as Petersville Hill then snow covered beyond that.
The rule of thumb today is slow down, watch out for icy and slushy sections and give yourself plenty of room to stop.
