Six people are out of their homes in Moncton and Saint John due to flooding caused by this weekend’s heavy rain.
The Canadian Red Cross says two basement-level apartments in a 12-unit building on Spruce Street in Moncton were flooded.
An adult and child from one apartment and two adults from another were affected.

In Saint John, a couple had to leave their basement apartment in a townhouse on Driftwood Lane.
All six have received emergency lodging and meals through the Red Cross at least through the Family Day long weekend.
No word yet on when they will be allowed to return home.
