New Brunswickers are being asked to share their views on poverty and the economy.
A public engagement process will take place over the next three months, and will lead to the renewal of The New Brunswick Economic and Social Inclusion Plan.
Social Development Minister Dorothy Shephard says the plan unites around a common goal of helping those who live in poverty.
She says the collaboration between economic and social inclusion is unique in Canada
Stephane Leclair, the corporation’s executive director, says they plan to conduct surveys and engage in community discussions on ways to reduce poverty.
The corporation will then create a list of priority actions that will guide the third version of the plan.
The inclusion plan is renewed every five years, with the current plan set to expire at the end of this year.
