An Ottawa-area hockey team has won the Good Deeds Cup, beating the KV-Devils out of $100,000 prize.
The Ottawa-West Carleton Warriors were awarded the prize on Saturday.
They will be donating their money to a disaster relief fund helping families get back on their feet after a devastating tornado last year.
The KV Devils are still getting $5,000 for making it to the top three, which they will be donating to school breakfast programs in Saint John’s priority neighbourhoods.
