The city’s deer management program is one step closer to reality.
Council has submitted an application to the province asking for the program after approving a by-law making it illegal to feed deer in Saint John, one of the requirements.
The management program, which will be rolled out in the Millidgeville area first, allows bow hunters to take a deer on approved private property.
The initiative comes after residents in Millidgeville complained about deer in their neighbourhood.
