A team of firefighters from Saint John are playing in the 60th Canadian Fire Fighters Curling Championship this week in Kelowna, B.C.
Skip Joe Vautour, Lead Vic Cornfield, Second Peter Tait, and Mate Mike Case will be playing in the championship until March 23.
In 1958, Vancouver fire fighter Aubrey Neff reached out to fire fighters in every major city in Canada proposing the idea of a Fire Fighters Curling Championship.
Since then, every province and territory has had a chance to host the event.
