It looks like the first storm of spring is headed our way for Friday according to a special weather statement from Environment Canada.
“We are expecting to see some rain push in towards noon and that is going to persist through the remainder of the day into the evening and we are looking at a fair bit of rain anywhere from 25 to 40 millimetres,” stated Hubbard.
Hubbard says for Fredericton it will be less rain and very strong winds but he added if you are planning on travelling anywhere near northern New Brunswick on Friday and early Saturday, you will be back into winter weather for sure.
” The rain will switch back to snow for the northern sections of the province for Friday and that will persist overnight into Saturday morning and they could see snow accumulations anywhere from 10 to possibly 20 centimetres in some areas”. stated Hubbard.
