The Town of Quispamsis has started an online tool called ‘Q-1-1’ to help them find out where there are issues which need the attention of town work crews.
“It allows us to be able to track all of the inquiries and concerns that are being brought into the system, and when we know those things we can manage them better, so just one step in greater efficiency for the town,” she said in an interview.
C-A-O Susan Deuville says it’s mainly for things like broken signs, graffiti, and big potholes.
Deuville says they’ve already had plenty of submissions about pothole locations and, weather-permitting, they have been filling them in.
“Potholes are currently, where its the pothole season, are the first ones that are making their way in. We’ve gotten some about stormwater and culverts, and we’re expecting over the coming days to get all kinds.”
Deuville says it will now become a permanent tool for the town’s works department.
