The union representing nursing home workers believes it has exhausted all available avenues except for binding arbitration.
The New Brunswick Council of Nursing Home Unions says the employer did not want to reach a fair collective agreement at the table.
The union claims the employer has not yet laid out any wage package other than the original proposal which was rejected by workers.
Opposition MLA’s will be presenting a motion in the legislature on Thursday to bring the issue to binding arbitration.
However, the Higgs government has already rejected the idea.
