The Nashwaak River at Durham Bridge has reached flood stage because of an ice jam.
Residents living or working in areas prone to localized flooding are reminded to be aware and take the proper precautions to safeguard their homes and possessions.
The Emergency Measures Organization says residents should consider moving belongings to higher ground if their property is near a waterway.
Avoid the banks of waterways and avoid crossing ice on recreational vehicles or on foot.
If you see any ice jams or issues related to rising water contact Riverwatch at 1-800-561-4034.
