It is a very nice gift for the Nature Conservancy of Canada from someone who has donated a lot of money to the organization already.
J.D. Irving Limited has donated one million dollars to the Conservancy’s Landmark Campaign which is looking to secure at least 500 new land conservation projects.
President and CEO, John Lounds in a release stated: “I want to thank Jim Irving for his leadership for 17 years on the NCC’s national fundraising campaigns past and present”.
This isn’t the first donation from JDI, this latest contribution brings the total to more than 5 million dollars including land conserved.
