Grand Bay-Westfield will be holding a flood awareness information session Sunday afternoon to inform residents about flood risks as the spring melt and April rain continues, and what precautions you can take to safeguard your home.
It will take place from 2 to 4 PM at the Brundage Point River Centre.
Representatives from Grand Bay-Westfield Emergency Measures Organization, New Brunswick EMO, Canadian Red Cross, NB Power, Grand Bay-Westfield Fire-Rescue Department, RCMP and Ambulance New Brunswick will all be in attendance to answer questions.
Many communities in the area are on high alert for flooding this year after the Saint John River experienced historic flooding last spring.
