The Green party is calling on Premier Blaine Higgs to do the right thing and help any students now enrolled in post-secondary institutions to have access to two key programs that are being cut.
David Coon says the Free Tuition and Timely Completion Benefit help current students and those who will soon graduate to land on their feet after they are done school.
“To manage their affairs to be able to afford to live the first year after they graduate and it would be just catastrophic for some who couldn’t access that program,” stated Coon.

The Green Leader says New Brunswick students graduate with higher debt loads that any students on other provinces and these benefits will help them in the long run.
David Coon says “I have written the Premier and asked him to grandfather students in for both of those programs and it is certainly my view that these programs should be re-established.”
