A Saint John Realtor is the new president of the Canadian Real Estate Association and says the industry is doing very well.
Jason Stephen says he sees no danger in this country of any housing bubble bursting like it did in the United States.
” I think that is an opportunity, I think the government has brought in some regulatory changes to ensure that doesn’t happen in Canada,” stated Stephen.
Stephen also says the real estate market in Saint John is pretty good right now, although they would like to see some more inventory, for sure it is a buyer and seller’s market in Greater Saint John.
The new president also likes that fact government has made changes to allow people with a change in marital status to withdrawal from their RRSP’s.
“Because people that come out of marital status change, typically have great credit, they have a job they have everything they just sometimes don’t have the down payment so I thought that was a good change,” Stephen said.
