Water levels are on the rise in the southern part of the province, but have started to fall in the north, according to the latest numbers from the River Watch program.
In Fredericton, the Saint John River is at 7.8 metres. Levels will fall to 7.7 Wednesday and 7.3 on Thursday.
Maugerville, Jemseg, Sheffield, and Grand Lake are all past flood stage. Water levels will rise all week and peak on Friday.
Water levels are at 4.4 metres in Saint John as of this morning. They will rise to 4.9 metres by Wednesday, and peak at 5.3 metres on Friday. Last year, levels peaked at 5.73 metres.
On Saturday, levels are forecast at 5.2 metres.
