You can pick up sandbags from two locations in Saint John, on the west side at 406 Bay Street and in Millidgeville off Boars Head Road near the blue boxes.
The Bay street distribution centre saw steady traffic on Easter Monday.

Corinne Humphrey lives on the Atkins Road in Morna where she had more than 7 feet of water in her basement last year.
She tells us they are taking precautions this year.
“I have had my hot water tank removed and we are waiting on a plumber to take the water softener out. We are putting plastic and sandbags around the house.” Humphrey said.
Anyone picking up sandbags must provide photo identification to show they are a resident of Saint John and anyone getting sandbags have to load them into vehicles themselves.
The City will open TWO Sandbag Distribution Centres for residents between 10:00AM & 7:00PM tomorrow, April 23.
Locations:
– Municipal Salt Storage Building, 406 Bay Street
– Municipal Operations Building off Boars Head Road by blue bins
