The Canadian Red Cross says it is worried that people under voluntary evacuation by the Saint John EMO will not heed the warning to leave their homes before it’s too late.
According to the Red Cross it has only had 22 households with 48 people register for shelter.
There are 600 people being urged to leave their homes by the Saint John EMO as the waters continue to rise.
The shelters run from 8 AM until 8 PM.
