Flood waters and electricity are not a very good mix and Saint John Energy wants its customers to know this before it is too late.
We have reached out & continue to complete wellness checks to all customers that are in the potential flood area. We encourage people to be proactive & safe and ensure if power is around any electrical fixtures or equipment to call us 658-5252 for a disconnect or safety check. pic.twitter.com/cIQy3hwbKe

Crews are being called to go to homes and disconnect the power and Dana Young says they are not just using trucks to get there either.
“We have started disconnect using boats it is the only way we can get to those areas,we have trucks located at islanded areas Dominion Park and Ragged Point Road, stated Young.”
He stated” We need our customers to step back and really identify the risk associated, and if you have any water getting close to your electrical system either outside or in call 658-5252.”
Saint John Energy will also remove any rented water heaters and heat pumps free of charge and they are waiving the disconnect and re-connect fees as well.
